Headlight Restoration · Eugene & Springfield, OR

Cloudy Headlights, Cleared.

Oregon rain at night through oxidized lenses is a bad combination. Restoration takes the yellowed, foggy haze off your headlights and brings back the light you paid for. $50 per headlight, done in your driveway during any detail.

Headlight haze is sun damage. The factory UV coating breaks down, the polycarbonate underneath oxidizes, and your low beams start lighting up the fog instead of the road. I sand the dead layer off in stages, machine polish the lens back to clear, and seal it against the UV that caused the problem in the first place.

Book it on its own

Headlight Restoration. $150, any vehicle.

Wet-sanded, machine-polished, and sealed with a UV clear coat so the clarity holds instead of hazing back in a season. About three hours in your driveway. No vehicle-size upcharge. Headlights are headlights.

Why it matters more in Oregon

Nine months of the year, Willamette Valley driving means rain, spray, and early dark. A hazed lens can cut your usable light badly, and it scatters what is left into oncoming glare. Restoration is one of the cheapest safety upgrades a high-mileage car can get, and it shows up the first wet night.

What restoration cannot fix

Sanding and polishing fix outside oxidation. They cannot fix moisture sealed inside the housing, spider cracks in the lens, or a failed bulb and wiring. If your lens is beyond saving I will tell you on arrival, before any work starts, and you pay nothing for the look.

Straight answers

How long does headlight restoration last?

With the UV sealant, expect one to two years of clarity depending on sun exposure and where the vehicle parks. Garage-kept vehicles hold it longer. A quick reseal down the road costs less than starting over.

Can every headlight be saved?

No. Outside oxidation restores well. Moisture trapped inside the housing, cracks, and internal yellowing do not. I check the lens on arrival and tell you which case yours is before work starts.

Do I need both headlights done?

Almost always yes. They have seen the same sun. One clear lens next to one yellow lens looks worse than two hazy ones. $50 per headlight, $100 for the pair.

Can I book it on its own?

Yes. Booked on its own it is $150 flat for any vehicle, about three hours on site, with no size upcharge. Riding along with a detail it stays $50 per headlight, or $100 for the pair, since the trip is already paid for.
