Fire season packs the cabin air filter with smoke particulate, and then winter runs the fan and the defroster every single day, pulling all your air through it. A fresh filter after fire season clears glass faster, keeps the musty smell out, and is included in the Cloak instead of sold as an extra.

How long does the rain repellent last?
Months of beading through the wet season with normal washing. Glass coatings wear by wiper pass and miles, not by calendar, so the windshield wears first and the side glass holds longest. Applied fresh each fall it carries the season.
Does the fabric guard work on leather?
Cloth gets a fabric guard so spills bead and blot up instead of soaking in. Leather gets a dedicated protectant, because leather needs feeding rather than sealing. Both are matched to the surface, applied to clean upholstery.
Why replace the cabin air filter in fall?
Oregon fire season loads the filter with smoke particulate. Winter then runs the fan daily, pulling every mile of air through it. A fresh filter means the defroster clears glass faster and the cabin stops smelling like August.
